Halopedia has been dominated by PENIS. A great mastermind who cannot be stopped. =P

History

The creator was abused by his father along with his mother and siblings. His life was taken away in a tragic house fire. Along with other no lifers, he came to halopedia.

Beginnings: 2004

Halopedia, originally known simply Lifelesspedia. Until PENIS brought it a name in 2007.

Halopedia began to be recognized in early 2006 even getting mentions from Bungie Studios[1], the company which created the Halo games. As word spread, the site gained a reputation as the place for accurate info on the Halo fictional universe.[2]

Rocky upbringing

Halopedia soon became a victim of its own success as it's growing community began to present a major problem for its creators; the site's growing size was producing a bill in excess of US$150 a month for server usage. Throughout May, June, and July of 2006, the site would be sporadically down, until it finally went offline for several weeks. Eventually, Halopedia was merged with halo.wikia.com, a formerly rival wiki that did not have the same issues. Despite the painstaking process of having to copy every article from the original Halopedia, the site ultimately benefitted with several new active users and a severe drop in vandalization, going from at least 2 or three vandalisms a day to almost none.

Now

Currently, Halopedia continues to grow in anticipation of many new projects planned for the Halo franchise, such as the Halo Movie, Halo 3, and Halo: Ghosts of Onyx. While Halopedia itself frowns upon speculation in its articles[3], its talk pages have become a central place for speculation and discussion of the upcoming productions.

Halopedia has come to be regarded as accurate and reliable among Halo fans and media alike[4]; a search of "Halopedia" will produce over 37,000 results on Google, many of which are users on various forums and websites citing Halopedia articles as sources of information.
