How many AR shots do you think it will need to take them down? I think like 15-20 in normal difficulty, because Promethean Knights are already the bullet-sponges enemie. {{unsigned|Firex}}

Rename to "Soldier"?[edit]

In the universe section of Halo Waypoint, it refers to Promethean Soldiers as just "Soldiers", unlike the entries on the other Promethean constructs which have "Promethean" in front of their names. Should we rename the page? -- Topal the Pilot Blueteam.png (Talk|Contribs) 03:26, 21 August 2015 (EDT)

I think I saw somewhere it was described as a armiger-class soldier or something, could be wrong. But yes I think that would be a good idea. Alertfiend (talk) 03:36, 21 August 2015 (EDT)

"...certain Soldier variants might be sometimes called "Promethean Soldiers" because they were once employed by Promethean forces." This implies that "Promethean" in the name is merely a descriptor for certain variants used by the Prometheans. I'm fine with dropping Promethean though. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 09:29, 21 August 2015 (EDT)
For the sake of consistency, I think keeping Promethean would be the best option. Also, it could very well be just a small error in the universe section where the writers simply wrote "Soldier" instead of "Promethean Soldier". It doesn't make much sense to me that they would name all these variants Prometheans and then have one random variant that isn't.--Spartacus TalkContribs 10:51, 21 August 2015 (EDT)
Going back to what Alertfiend said, they might be a variant of the Armiger-class. In this case the Armiger-class Soldier. Where the word at the end could change depending on the variant. But since we don't know of any variants, it's probably best we keep it as it is. -- Topal the Pilot Blueteam.png (Talk|Contribs) 19:34, 21 August 2015 (EDT)
Waypoint says "Soldiers are Armiger-class bipedal combat platforms". But I agree that it is best to leave it for now. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 19:36, 21 August 2015 (EDT)

Rank Issue[edit]

I think a more pressing issue is the ranks displayed on the page. The standard and sniper variants are entirely neglected when we have 3 articles by different name on what is in essence the same variant of Soldier...and all 3 have nearly no information.—This unsigned comment was made by Axilus Prime (talkcontribs). Speech Similarity Observation?[edit]

I don't know if anyone else ever noticed this, but to me, at times, the Promethean Soldier's speech sounded not too dissimilar from that of the Daleks from Doctor Who. Anyone else notice this similarity? --Xamikaze330, Halopedia Team Talk 23:15, 2 February 2016 (EST)Xamikaze330

I'd say the Daleks are a lot more high pitched and guttural than the Soldiers, but I see where you're coming from in terms of the robotic voice. -- Topal the Pilot Blueteam.png (Talk|Contribs) 18:33, 6 February 2016 (EST)
