The Rudra-class nuclear missile is a nuclear weapon used by the United Nations Space Command.[1]
Background
The UNSC Port Stanley was equipped with a large number of enhanced yield Rudra-class nuclear missiles.[1]
Service history
The Port Stanley used several Rudra-class nukes to destroy three Covenant cruisers loyal to the Arbiter, the Far Vision, the Axiom, and the Devotion.[2]
Trivia
Rudra is the name of a Hindu god associated with wind or storm, and the hunt. The naming of the Rudra missile mirrors that of the Shiva-class nuclear missile, which is also named after a Hindu deity.
