Remembrance is the twentieth track in Halo 2: Original Soundtrack, Volume 1. The piece is the Halo 2 rendition of the Halo: Combat Evolved soundtrack The Maw for the level of the same name. It is mainly composed of a chorus, but a version with strings is included in the first part of Ghosts of Reach. This piece is approximately 1 minute and 17 seconds long, a reference to John-117.

The soundtrack can be heard twice in the level Regret, when John-117 is taking the underwater elevators to and from the submerged section of Forerunner structures.

The piece was reorchestrated into Remembrance in Halo Legends: Original Soundtrack as well as Unsullied Memory in Halo 2: Anniversary Original Soundtrack.
