The 77th Marine Regiment was a unit UNSC Marine Corps unit that fought during the first stages of the Battle of Mombasa. There they fought alongside civilian volunteers against the invading Covenant Army. It is speculated that this unit is under direct operational command of the 405th Marine Infantry Division.
