An Assault Rifle is a projectile firearm with a power ranging between a SMG and a M6D, and in real life, it has the range between a submachine gun (close range) and a pistol (medium range) Assault Rifles are common United Nations Space Command weapon types and there are several different variants:
- MA2B Assault Rifle: the stripped-down version of the MA5B Assault Rifle.
- MA3 Assault Rifle: the older variant of the MA5B Assault Rifle.
- MA5B ICWS Assault Rifle: The standard UNSC armament in Halo: Combat Evolved.
- MA5C Assault Rifle: The assault rifle to-be-featured in Halo 3.
