The PP-16979/AM-Sh is the United Nations Space Command recharger for the Weapon/Anti-Vehicle Model 6 Grindell/Galileian Nonlinear Rifle (W/AV M6 G/GNR) "Spartan Laser" weapon.
It recharges the integrated non-replaceable BA-53635/PLMD battery of the Spartan Laser. However, UNSC logistics are sufficiently ineffecient and most fielded Spartan Laser units are not accompanied with a PP-16979/AM-Sh recharger. Therefore it has a limited use before discarding.
