This is easier to get with the sniper rifle since you can make rapid shots and the sniper rifle generally has more ammo and because of that u can still make 2 bodyshots to kill some1 and then most likely still get the medal unlike the beam rifle which holds only 10 shots.
This is easier to get with the sniper rifle due to the more rapid rate of fire, more ammo capacity and more appearances throughout the many Halo maps.

Sharpshooter' is a spree medal awarded in Halo 3 Multiplayer for killing (without the necessity of consecutive headshots) 10 opponents in a row with the Sniper Rifle or Beam Rifle without dying. It is represented by a bronze five-pointed star with green crosshairs. This is easier to get with the sniper rifle due to the more rapid rate of fire, more ammo capacity and more appearances throughout the many Halo maps.
