UNSC Starry Night was a Razor-class prowler used by the Office of Naval Intelligence.[1] It acted as the flagship for Task Force Yama until its destruction.[6]
Service history
Starry Night began observing Covenant fleet movements around Netherop on March 4, 2526. The next day, March 5, Starry Night deployed twelve SPARTAN-II soldiers as part of an operation to help capture one of those ships.[1]
It was shot down by the Bloodstar Flotilla on March 19, 2526, where it fell into Seoba's ice quarry. Landing intact, Blue Team managed to rescue the surviving crew and activate the ship's self-destruct, a one-megaton Fury tactical nuclear weapon. The blast destroyed an intrusion corvette that was attempting to capture the Starry Night intact.[4]
Trivia
The ship was likely named after the Vincent van Gogh painting of the same name.
