The Banished operate several custom Shade turret designs.
Operational history
The Banished operated Shade turret designs during the Second Ark Conflict in 2559. They were used by Yapyap's rebellion, and crewed with Unggoy gunners.[1] In May of the same year, the Banished used them to fortify key positions on a Halo installation.[2]
Variants
The Banished have been observed employing two distinct Shade turret models. The first consists of a chassis similar to that of the Type-29 and Type-55 models, featuring an extensive layer of additional armor plating and a more enclosed cockpit to protect the operator.[1] The second bears more resemblance to the Type-26 models, albeit with armor plating substituted for energy shielding visually similar to that of the drop wall.[2]
An Unggoy operating the Shade as seen in the Halo Infinite Campaign Gameplay Trailer.
