An Assault Rifle is a projectile firearm with a power ranging between a submachine gun and a Battle Rifle. Assault Rifles are common United Nations Space Command weapon types, and there are several different variants:
- MA2B Assault Rifle: the stripped-down version of the MA5B Assault Rifle.
- MA3 Assault Rifle: the older variant of the MA5B Assault Rifle.
- MA5B ICWS Assault Rifle: The standard UNSC armament in Halo: Combat Evolved.
- MA5C Assault Rifle: The assault rifle to-be-featured in Halo 3.
- MA5K Assault Rifle: the cut-down version of the MA5B Assault Rifle utilized by the SPARTAN-IIIs.
