Rename[edit]
Looking at the history of Alpha Base, it seems clear that this engagement covered more than just one battle. — subtank 13:01, 2 February 2011 (EST)
- Since the two battles were different events and would require two different infoboxes anyways, I'd suggest we make another article for the First Battle of Alpha Base and call this article the "second battle". --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 15:07, 25 April 2011 (EDT)

Removing "rename" template[edit]
I'm fairly sure that these were simply two phases of the same battle - the Covenant attacked and occupied the base, but Forge regrouped UNSC forces in the area to take it back. -- Qura 'Morhek The Autocrat of Morheka 20:22, 27 December 2015 (EST)
- The article is talking about the Alpha Base in Halo: The Flood, though, and I believe the idea was to include both the ODSTs' capture of the base from the Covenant (although it wasn't yet designated Alpha Base then) as well as the Covenant's later attack on it (which is presently described in the article). Still, I'm not sure if this would've been a good idea since having two very distinct battles in the same infobox would've been pretty confusing.--Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 01:46, 28 December 2015 (EST)
