Vanguard Games is a game studio based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.[1] It was founded as Woedend! Games in 2005, later changed to W! Games in 2007, and merged with Karami to form Vanguard Games. The company had developed three games prior to their work on the top-down shooter Halo: Spartan Assault, developed in conjunction with 343 Industries and released in 2013. Spartan Assault will be followed on December 12, 2014 by a spiritual successor, Halo: Spartan Strike.[2]
