I don't think so. First, I don't particularly like the idea of people using Halopedia to test their bots. Second, if you can't manage to set-up the thing on your own I don't trust you to run it here. Ah why not I have been talking to GPT. I know everthing I need exect the family part. I asked GPT to e-mail me his family and he said he would but he no longer has it. So he told me to ask you. And its not like I can not make one if I really tried I could probaly make one but then it would have some errors. hence it it might mess up Halopedia so if you just e-mailed me your stuff it would be so much easier you mess free. re: editing

Hey Manticore, ever since CT banned me a while back and I try to edit something, I get this same message "WARNING: Your browser is not unicode compliant. A workaround is in place to allow you to safely edit articles: non-ASCII characters will appear in the edit box as hexadecimal codes." but I never got that message before, any ideas why it has started up? (Just to let you know, the ban was just a little mix-up on my part, nothing serious)

Bungie Cards

Hi, I was wondering if it would be possible to implement Bungie Cards on Halopedia (scroll down the Bungie article to find the heading "Bungie Cards"). Bungie provides HTML, but, predictably, it doesn't work on wikia. An example of the HTML would be my card, <a href="http://www.bungie.net/stats/halo3/default.aspx?player=simon rjh"><img src="http://www.bungie.net/card/halo3/simon rjh.ashx"/></a>.

I realise that you do not have a Bungie account with a linked gamertag, so you cannot actually see the page providing the HTML, or test it except with that one example I provided, but I think it would be a great addition to the site, as about half the users have Bungie accounts and Xbox Live. It would be good if they could put a personalised Halo 3 card or banner at the top of their userpage.

Anyway, hopefully you could look into it? You know a lot more about HTML than me, or anyone else on the wiki for that matter. Thanks, Reclaimer simon rjh 09:09, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

Okay, here's the problem. MediaWiki isn't recognising the ashx format of the Bungie Card image as an image, and so it renders it on the page as a link. I've whitelisted the bungie.net domain at Central, and have managed to get a gif image to render properly, but unless there is a jpeg or similar* version of the image it won't show on the page. the permitted file types is only for uploads, the url->embeded image list is much shorter, only includes png/jpg/jpeg/gif, and is hardcoded. even if the domain is whitelisted for hotlinking images, and even if the server properly spits out the image/foo mimetype for that request, mediawiki will not know to try to fetch it as an image. --Uberfuzzy 18:32, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

You're a completely separate matter - constant incivility in the channel has earned you a permanent ban. You have nothing constructive to add to the channel environment, and we've all received complaints about you. The other administrators and myself have unbanned, re-banned, and reviewed your case so many times we're all just sick of it. Ammaraskar ban
