Would the ship not actually belong to the 7th Fleet and not the Home Fleet? It has a 7 on the lower prong in the same are as the Forward Unto Dawn and the Aegis Fate, indicating their Home Fleet assignments. ScaleMaster117 (talk) 16:46, 10 June 2013 (EDT)

OK, despite my earlier comment, I actually just made the change. For the record, the reason the Dawn was assigned to the Seventh Fleet is because I specified it in the Essential Visual Guide because of the star symbol with the seven on the prow. There was no indication that's what the symbol referred to before that time. Because of this, the Aegis Fate and the FFG-127 are also considered Seventh Fleet because of this. I'm not certain how to properly cite this, except to refer back to the Dawn page of the Essential Visual Guide. ScaleMaster117 (talk) 22:21, 10 June 2013 (EDT)

I think it might be best to cite it with a note-type citation pointing out the presence of the Seventh Fleet symbol. Meanwhile, an explanation of the symbol's association to the Seventh Fleet (and, preferably, the symbol graphic as well) could be added to the Seventh Fleet article.--Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 22:49, 10 June 2013 (EDT)

Recycled from H3?

Just wondering if this ship is the same ship used in the Legendary ending of Halo 3? Sure looks like it. Fun trivia perhaps? — Hacame 23:54, 10 June 2013 (EDT)

Not sure what you're getting at. For Halo 3, Bungie made only 2 models of the Dawn...one good and one split in half. Yes, this FFG-127 is the split-in-half Dawn. A quick look at both cutscenes tells you the split occurs at the same place on each ship. ODST was built with economy in mind. They reused what they could from Halo 3. Not sure it qualifies as trivia though. I thought it was common knowledge. We don't mention that the Scarab in ODST is a reuse of the Scarab from Halo 3 yet it is. I know that ODST recycled/reused assets from Halo 3, but I think it is noteworthy since it is the ship was from the Legendary ending of Halo 3. If this trivia shouldn't be placed in this article, maybe place it somewhere in the Halo 3 campaign article perhaps? — Hacame 12:01, 11 June 2013 (EDT)
