| '''Moonbase Alpha''', also known as '''Spacecamp''', is the codename for one of the ''[[Halo 3]]'' Downloadable Content [[multiplayer]] maps from the legendary map pack <ref>[[Bungie Weekly Update]]: 03/1/08</ref>. It is now the last map bungie has to reveal in there upcoming new map pack. It has been described that its fairly large, and is best suited for games such as [[Capture The Flag]] and [[Assault]]. It has also been stated that it has some unique characteristics that make [[Slayer]] interesting and [[Infection]] terrifying. In one of the Bungie Weekly Updates it said that fans of [[Elongation]] would enjoy the map<ref>[[Bungie Weekly Update]]: 1st Nov 07</ref>. This does not mean it is a remake or a spiritual successor, but could relate to the fact [[Elongation]] is on a cargo ship on the other side of earth when it was first attacked.

Starring Martin Landau and Barbara Bain, the series concerned the adventures of the occupants of Moonbase Alpha after the moon was blasted out of Earth orbit due to a nuclear explosion. The explosion was caused by an accident involving nuclear waste storage on the moon.
