The MX-1050 Quantum Plane Translocation Marker-Local/Hybrid, commonly known as the quantum marker, is a prototype handheld translocation device in use by the UNSC.[1]

Overview

The device was developed by ONI's translocation grid testing conducted on a variety of Forerunner installations. Currently, in testing, it is ultimately intended to be used for the immediate transportation of assets from hostile environments. After enclosing an asset in a slipspace-shielded containment using slipspace crates, operators dispatch a translocation beacon using the marker. Within seconds, the containment unit is sent offsite to a precalibrated receiver node. Although native translocation technology allows the transportation of organic mater, operators are expressly forbidden to use the MX-1050 in this manner due to it being unproven and extremely dangerous.[1]

Trivia

The MX-1050 is used in War Games during the Extraction gametype.
