Before You Vote

  • Only votes from users who have accounts on Halopedia and whose vote are cast while being logged in will count. The account must have been created at least one month before the vote and have at least 50 article edits.
  • For example, if one is voting for HOTM for the month of October then the user must have created their account in July or before July.
  • Votes will be counted for next month. Please vote on the section for next month, because only the votes in that section will be counted.
  • You can vote one time only. If you wish to change your vote, cross out (but do not remove) any previous votes you have made.
  • Please bold your nomination so it is easier to see.
  • In the event of a tie the results from the edit count page will be used as a tie breaker.
  • You must put your vote with your signature in the voting area. In the end votes with signatures are the only ones that will be counted.

  • Subtank - She has made some of the best contributions seen on this wikia, an exceptionally kind person to talk to, and an all around great Halopedian! File:Obama 4color omark.jpgCadets for ObamaYES WE CAN 9/xx/2008
  • Subtank - FTW!!! "'Cuz I can! Ice cream, ice cream, we all want ice cream." --Caboose File:Caboose.jpg Orange Juice and Cookies 19:53, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
  • Dragonclaws - I know he's won it before, but late last month, he posted what I consider to be, possibly, the most important blog since that feature has come into existance - of course, this one. It is my hope that this blog produces a galvanizing change in focus for a community struggling desperately to find good things to write about and far too concerned about fixing the damage caused by other people, reverting it rather than using it as a chance to improve the original. This is Halopedian of the Month and to me, that means that it is to recognize the person who's contributions were the greatest of the month. While most months, no one stands out and we should use that opportunity to recognize great users amongst us like Subtank who is well overdue for this award. However, when there is someone that stands out, and Dragonclaws has clearly stood out last month, I think it falls upon this community to recognize that user's achievements. --forgottenlord 00:47, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
  • Dragonclaws - As per Forgottenlord. --Notanoob 21:15, 30 August 2008

  • Subtank - She's a great all-round user. Friendly too. :) Gunnery Sergeant Matoro3311 | File:GunnerySergeant.gif 15:43, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
  • Dragonclaws - As per forgottenlord. Whilst Subtank has continuously been deserving of the award, I do think DC stood out this month. I'm sure Subtank will be in for the award soon, but for now i'm voting for DC. HaloDude 18:32, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

I was thinking that, why is it closed 1-2 days before? BananaCat File:1213452567 Cat-facts.jpg Message meEdits Stats 08:05, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
So we can start on October, its always the next month ahead. --Councilor Εw C 'DnaudeeBattle Net My Editcount 12:59, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
But the voting is finished a couple of days before the end of the month. For this month it may not matter, but if it's close between two people, it could make all the difference. I voted just a couple of hours before it was closed. Or am I misunderstanding.BananaCat File:1213452567 Cat-facts.jpg Message meEdits Stats 13:38, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
  • No you make a good point, however when the voting is really close, like me and Simon the time before, then the polls will stay open til the last minute. In this case I was 4 votes ahead so it wasnt close enough. --Councilor Εw C 'DnaudeeBattle Net My Editcount 14:47, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Wait, wasn't Dragonclaws a HOTM back in 2006? Little_Missy - File:Cortana Gif.gif 13:22, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Yes. BananaCat File:1213452567 Cat-facts.jpg Message meEdits Stats 13:38, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
I thought there was some policy made back in February and March about this, something about those who won the HOTM award cannot be nominated...... that or I may be dreaming of it...Little_Missy - File:Cortana Gif.gif 14:14, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
CT won it for his second time back in May, so if there was a policy change, it must've been since then. If you dig it up, I'd love to see it. --forgottenlord 18:24, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
EDIT: and I did note in my nomination that DC has won the award before. --forgottenlord 18:25, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
A user can receive the HOTM award as many times as he or she is nominated, there is no maximum to how many you can be awarded. Though I would see it unfit if the same person gets it every few months or so, then we should pull the plug for a while until other users get the chance.
