"A" Company

"A" Company was an infantry company of the UNSC Marine Corps. It served with the 405th.
Operational History
During the Covenant's abortive first attempt to attack Earth at the Battle of New Mombasa, "A" Company was present and participated in the defense. As its CO had been injured, command passed to two NCOs, Staff Sergeant Marcus Banks and Gunnery Sergeant Pete Stacker of the 105th Shock Division. Under their leadership the unit fought on until calls for reinforcements were answered in the unlooked for but welcome form of the Master Chief. Some of its elements later also fought at the Battle of Installation 05 and the Battle of High Charity.
Trivia
- The designation "A" can be assumed to stand for "Alpha" which is the corresponding letter in the UNSC Phonetic Alphabet.
