Sangheili Point Defense Gauntlet

An Arm Shield is a protective device carried by the Sangheili of the Covenant and later, the Separatists [1].
Operational Use
While the Arm Shield has never been encountered by UNSC forces, it was used by Commander Rtas 'Vadumee during the destruction of the Infinite Succor. Though instead of the tri-layered shield that at least one Sangheili has seen with, this was a diamond-ish shape with only one layer.
These shields are very similar to the Kig-yar Point Defense Gauntlet, except the Point Defense Gauntlets produce round and deep shields while the Arm Shield is flat and less practical in a battle.
This shield was later replaced by the Sangheili Personal Energy Shield.
Theory
There is a rumor that it was swapped for the full body shields the Sangheili had prior to the Battle of Reach and Battle of Installation 04. To destroy the shield, you may have needed to wear down each of the 3 layers of the shield to get a clear shot and after some time it would regenerate.
Trivia
- This item was going to be used in Halo: Combat Evolved by Sangheili soldiers, though was replaced by the Personal Energy Shields.
- The only UNSC encounter with the Arm Shield is in the Halo: Combat Evolved E3 2000 Trailer.
