Background
Beta Probe is a generic UNSC term referring to one of the Slipspace Probes used by Remote Scanning Outposts. It sent out radio pings and analyzed the spectrum from radio to X rays [1].
Appearances
The Beta Probe of the Archimedes , directly above Sigma Octanus IV, reported the same findings as Alpha Probe. Both probes gave the mysterious object mass at 20,000 tons[2]. The mysterious object was a Covenant Ship.
