Indirect appearances

One glimpse and you can tell that there's something wrong with this article: its list of appearances is longer than the rest of the article! While I have to commend SV's contribution to keeping every list up to date, I think we should avoid having this sort of thing happening to subjects that do not appear directly in a media. In other words, if a subject do not have a direct appearance in a media, it should not be listed under a List of Appearances section, nor should it have a List of Appearances section that puts it to the reader that the subject appears in that media. Yes, WST created the DTM series shotgun, but nowhere has it made an actual appearance in any media. I think it's necessary to create a separate appearance template titled "Indirect appearance" and avoid having this sort of thing happening. — subtank 21:46, 7 October 2013 (EDT)

I would second this. If WST is referenced, then fine. But WST is referenced to my knowledge in some Bungie material, some 343i material, and in-universe in ODST and probably not much else. This would be akin to referencing AMG Transport Dynamics in every article that had a Warthog mention. It would get out of hand fast. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 22:47, 7 October 2013 (EDT)
