Just how many of Regret's ships were destroyed? I used to hear that all but his carrier were lost in the battle. Has this changed at all in subsequent sources? I know the Pious Inquisitor got away, but how many of his 13 cruisers were lost? Anybody have a confirmed number?[[User talk:Fire Eater|Fire Eater]] 04:42, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

The whole point of the map "Heretic" is to depict the ''Pious Inquisitor'' during its chase of the Flood-controlled cruiser (the "sequel" to Midship, if you take the story into account). Its description says that the ship is "an irresistible prize during these dark times", alluding to the Great Schism and the ''Inquisitor'' falling into Sangheili hands rather than staying with Prophet-allied Covenant. The ''Essential Visual Guide'' further confirms this since it explicitly states it (page 124). The only sources I'm finding for "Heretic" depicting Regret's fleet are speculations in Halopedia articles related to this matter (ie "[[Heretic (level)]]") and in the image's description (curiously, there's a lot of "possibly Regret's fleet" written everywhere); and the image was actually uploaded by you (Halo-343) years ago, probably at a time when there was much doubt about the map's setting. As for the number of vessels, either some lost the Flood cruiser, not all were seen in Halo 3's campaign, or Bungie simply made a mistake (it's funny but in my memories, most of the map was actually remade by a single employee, this is probably said in a Bungie Weekly Update). So basically I'm really for removing this image from this article, it belongs to the Fleet of Retribution's page.
