What does "CA-76 Canberra" stand for in this image? (Above Admiral Harper's name if you look closely) Is that the designation of a ship within the fleet or something? Perhaps the command ship? It could be the cruiser he's on—The Autumn's hull classification symbol was "C" but "CA" might be used for the Marathon-class (I don't think we know the hull numbers of any Marathons). --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 03:40, 13 November 2014 (EST)

I like to think it could very well be his flagship. Nothing else the name Canberra could be referring to, and they definitely are not referring to the actual city. But yeah, we don't know any of the named Marathons that intimately, let along know their general classification. The Marathons get so little coverage. CA-76 refers to the hull number. CA denotes Canberra as a heavy cruiser with 76 identifying it as the 76th vessel of all classes in the heavy cruiser type. Helianthus — All right. Shoot!
