*Achievements which require one to kill enemies with a certain weapon have a red diamond in the background, while achievements which require one to complete a certain level have a light green ''[[Marathon]]'' symbol in the background.
*''Halo 3: ODST'' gives players alerts on-screen as they make progress toward kill-based achievements (i.e. [[Dark Times]], [[Naughty Naughty]] and [[I Like Fire]]). It is the only ''Halo'' game to date to feature this mechanic.
