How can grunts have Active Camouflage if they have no shield? User: Joshua 029

Active Camo probably doesn't need a shield to work. -ED 19:54, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

SpecOps Grunts can wield Assault Rifles!? T3rr0r 13:46, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Who said that?shishno 12 February 2007

Yeah, I think it was Dojorkan who putted that on the page once T3rr0r 20:06, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

They do in the HGN. --Dragonclaws(talk) 21:56, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

Shouldn't that be significant, since only Sangheili, who are of higher social status, use Plasma Pistols?

Physiclly above ultras?

In the artical it says that special ops are physically above ultras but then why would ultras lead spec ops into battle why not the other way around. who else agrees OK M8

In the article it says that i takes several head shoots to kill them, as far as i know everythig without a shield will die if they get shoot in the head. That is if the weapon can do head shoots or the target can die of head shoots (wonder why drones cant die from head shoots)

That was fixed in Halo 3: ODST. Drones finally have ranks and is vurnerable to head shots in that game.--Ultra Force 00:56, January 6, 2010 (UTC)ULTRA FORCE

color

Any1 else wounder why the are colored more like ultras in halo 3 than black like in halo 2 or even in the belive trailer? why would bungie do it to confuse us more? because as far as I know only ultras should be in halo 3, given the setting.--Shadow147 17:29, December 31, 2009 (UTC)Shadow147

No one really knows why but like ya said in Halo 3 Spec Ops look like Ultras and Ultras themselves dont appear--Disciple of the Covenant 05:36, January 4, 2010 (UTC).

But in the Halo Encyclepedia, Spec-op grunts are shown in much darker armor than the Ultras.--Ultra Force 00:58, January 6, 2010 (UTC)

I'm guessing the Brutes recolored them, the Covenant Special forces used to be run by the Elites. The Brutes, by recoloring them, symbolicly say, "You serve the Brutes now, not the Elites, take your orders from us".--CR8ZY-ArAB 01:30, January 6, 2010 (UTC)

As ultra force said, it shows that grunt Ultra's are the current spec ops image, and spec ops is in fact a black armor. I will be changing it soon. it also says this on bungie.net. Jabberwock xeno 22:23, March 22, 2010 (UTC)
I'm having trouble doing it, anyone want to help? Jabberwock xeno 14:27, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

Glowing

I was watching firefight footage from bungie.net and at one point in the video there appears several spec ops grunts that are surrounded by a dark purple glow.

It happens at 3:20 in the video.

the vid can be found at http://www.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?type=news&cid=28016 --FATGUNN 15:21, August 20, 2010 (UTC)

Featured Article?

I propose we remove this as I featured article. It may be good. But Featured articles are supposed to be articles that say, "Hey, this is what happens when all the great minds on this Wiki come together to make something great!" We wouldn't want to give a newcomer a bad first impression that this is the best we got. Vegerot (talk) 12:26, 14 April 2011 (EDT)!!

White/Gray Special Operations Unggoy

I was playing the Oracle in MCC when I spotted what appeared to be a white spec ops grunt. Can somebody who knows how to look at the code/metadata for halo 2 on PC look into if there's some sort of sub rank for spec ops grunts that this could be (similar to how spec ops and stealth elites have sub ranks, though neither of those facts are noted on their pages, something I intend to correct), or if this is a known bug or what?

I thought maybe it was an ultra, but the thing is, it clearly has spec ops armor, whereas ultras in MCC have the default armor with the white color. Here is the video: http://xboxclips.com/JABBERWOCK+xeno/d86419a3-f8a1-4f30-8f6d-baba12e04c9c Jabberwock xeno (talk) 07:37, 12 December 2014 (EST)
