Sand Trap is a multiplayer map that was shown to press at E3 2007 in video form and is to be featured in Halo 3.

Error?
With vague descriptions like those, one would think that Sand Trap is actually Shrine. The press highlighted the map with words such as "Desert" and "Sand Dunes", along with the impression it was the "...largest map yet in Halo...". Only the final release of Halo 3 will tell.
