Revision as of 17:08, June 22, 2007

According to the newly passed Self-Voting Amendment, users may no longer vote for themselves in HOTM elections.

Template:Shortcut

Before You Vote

  • Only votes from users who have accounts on Halopedia and whose vote are cast while being logged in will count. The account must have been created at least one month before the vote and have at least 50 article edits.
  • For example if one is voting for HOTM for the month of October then the user must have created thier account in July or before July.
  • Votes will be counted for next month. Please vote on the section for next month, because only the votes in that section will be counted.
  • You can vote one time only. If you wish to change your vote, cross out (but do not remove) any previous votes you have made.
  • Please bold your nomination so it is easier to see.
  • In the event of a tie the results from the edit count page will be used as a tie breaker.
  • You must put your vote with your signature in the voting area. In the end votes with signatures are the only ones that will be counted.

Reminder to all users

  • Please bold your nomination so it can be clearly counted.
  • Please add your vote to the tally, shown under "Nominees".

Votes

  • Blemo gets my vote cause he has helped me since I joined Halopedia. Thegoodone 01:23, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Blemo I'll vote for myself, because one, I can; two, I helped more than 7 people with their userbox dilemma; three, created more than 10 awards and recieved approximately 20 within 4 months (don't believe me? go to User:Blemo/Awards to see); four, friends with over 10 other users; five, because I greeted random new users I find on the "Recent Changes" page; and last six, I helped make EVERY single SoH template there is. =D --File:GRAW Wallpaper.jpg

Blemo is a cool friend in person, and a cool user on Halopedia. He made my userbox. --mango

  • Blemo--> He is my best friend on Halopedia. HДĿΘFáṆ 19:08, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
  • HaloDude- i'll vote for myself, i think i've done a great job since i started, i'm even an ultra! I've got over 600 main edits in a month, over 1000 edits in total, and i created a few pages. All in a month! HaloDude 19:27, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
  • James-001: Very sorry, Blemo, but James-001 has been here longer, had more edits, had more contributions, and has been more active in the community over his lifespan...umm...userpan. ;-) Cheers, RelentlessRecusant progress-wheel.gif TALKWORKSPEAK 22:06, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
  • For James-001 per RR. ;) --Jack Phoenix (Contact) 07:37, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Spartan-118 *sigh* I'll vote for me again Spartan-118 02:07, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Blemo He's a good guy and a helpful user. He also made my award/userboxes, which both are plain... but so am I... --Jimmy Time
  • Blemo He has had numerous contributions, is always helpful, and has probaly made more userboxes and awards than RR. Halodude. There must be a record. Blemo was already featured in the Oracle, anyway. --

  • HaloDude- He's been here about a month and he's done over 1200 edits, (over 600 main)- that's got to be a record- and he's an ultra in the COH! Rob112 20:20, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
  • I vote for halodude!!! Duskstorm 19:23, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
  • I vote for James-001, not Halodude since he has asked me to vote for him and I don't like ppl who ASK it. I want to vote for myself so.. No offense Halodude. Terror 20:55, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
  • HaloDude...He bought me cookies, coffee, and cocaine...eh forget the last one. CommanderTony
  • Blemo I suppose I'll say this again... He made my userbox and my award. That is the reason why he got my Coveted (well not really) Senior Citizen Award. --Old crippled lady who keeps junk mail 04:22, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Blemo!!! He was the first/only one who introduced me to Halopedia

and was also a cool user! --666Slayer 01:23, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

  • HaloDude seen him about and seems to be doing good...thats it --Climax Viod 16:29, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Blemo Because I flipped a coin...both you guys deserve recognition, though. -The Dark Lord Azathoth 20:40, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Blemo He helped me with my friend box and my "this user has this many edits" box. he also maintained a friendly attitude toward me and everyone I've seen him interface with. --Captain Jacob Rathens 00:55, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
  • HaloDude - He has the eleventh highest mainspace edit count [1] of all Halopedians, five times that of Blemo. Even more noteworthy, his first mainspace edit was only 19 days ago. -- Manticore Fleet Admiral.jpg Talk | CSV 04:44, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Blemo - He is awesome, he helped me get started as soon as I joined Halopedia and has been helping me with things ever since, like awards and userboxes, and he has helped a lot of people in the past too. I think the winner should definitely be Blemo, no contest. Mlawi 'Dhanee 06:52, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Manticore - I would have to say he's been more useful than the other candidates. --Dragonclaws(talk) 21:45, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Ryanngreenday He is a great contributor and talks to the community here, with deep respect.--H*bad (talk) 16:29, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

Can you just add yourself? Because that's what Blemo just did... Terin 14:41, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, anybody can nominate themselves as long as they fit the nominee criteria. --Caboose File:Caboose.jpg Orange Juice and Cookies 17:55, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
And where is this criteria? Respect them Grunts, Mouse File:XtremeBoxer1.jpg 20:07, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
The criteria is under 'Before You Vote'. And yes, even though its considered bad form, you can nominate yourself. -- Manticore Fleet Admiral.jpg Talk | CSV 01:48, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
I'll nominate myself next time. --File:Wiki CoH.PNG Zealot Elite"ENERGY SWORD"File:Zealot.jpg

Okay, am I the only one who thinks it's kinda weird that User:An old lady, User:Jimmy Time, and User:Blemo all sign the same way with the "--", all voted for Blemo, and all edit eachother's pages? Not trying to accuse anyone of anything, but it IS kinda... weird.... güéߣ¥-πéҐøñ¥-ħîИg¥ 03:21, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

No, you're not; however, Blemo did ask a bunch of his friends to vote for him in the next election, so, some may be new and just click the button on the edit bar thingy. And, Blemo does have 739 contribs on user talk pages...whatever...yeah. I'm On Fire! Unfreakinbelievable-2.jpg FeedTheFlame WatchMySmoke 20:39, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
But... do you know the twelve icons on top of the editing page? The ones that you click for the BOLD, Italic, and links to be on the edit page? Well, the one third to the right... the one with the squiggly lines is the signature icon. When you click that, It gives you "--~~~~" with the two dashes. A lot of Apple computers (you should check those out too) Don't have the "~" sign, so they have to use the sig icon in order to sign. I'm not sure about the other two users that do this, but I use it because I'm lazy. :P BTW, If you notice on that page, Caboose does it also.--Jimmy Time 22:58, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Blemo progress-wheel.gif TalkContributions Semper Fi 04:34, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I'm just too lazy to type it out. :D --Caboose File:Caboose.jpg Orange Juice and Cookies 00:09, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

HaloDude's catching up! Does anyone know what FTW means? I know, gtg, btw, and a couple others. :P --Click Here to See a Hot Chick! 03:39, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

I have two questions: Should BOLDING a nominee be a rule as well? and Anyone know when the elections end? mango 04:29, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

No, it's just bolding makes it look easier and easier to count. It's not a rule. File:GRAW Wallpaper.jpg Blemo progress-wheel.gif TalkContributions Semper Fi

I've heard RR say that FTW means for the win. In fact, I think his motto is Halopedia FTW. Oh, and to Jimmy Time's comment, I too am to lazy to type the squiggles out. --Captain Jolly W. Roberts File:Arg me be a pirate.PNG 05:57, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

That's odd... I counted 8 of HaloDude's votes. --File:GRAW Wallpaper.jpg Blemo progress-wheel.gif TalkContributions Semper Fi 16:48, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Nope, theres 11. Would you like me to recount? -- Manticore Fleet Admiral.jpg Talk | CSV 04:49, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
Okay... after your vote, it turned to 11. --File:GRAW Wallpaper.jpg

Blemo progress-wheel.gif TalkContributions Semper Fi My Xbox Live motto is "Halopedia FTW". ;-) FTW = For the Win, not F*** the World, as Caboose first thought. ;-) Cheers, RelentlessRecusant progress-wheel.gif TALKWORKSPEAK 17:15, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Don't get me wrong, HaloDude is one of the best users on Halopedia, bar none, and maybe-- no, IS better than me. I wish I could vote for him, but it seems that I'm stuck between me and HaloDude. --File:GRAW Wallpaper.jpg Blemo progress-wheel.gif TalkContributions Semper Fi

No matter who wins, halopedia will have a deserving winner. HaloDude 10:41, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Am I the only one who finds it...improper to ask people to vote for you? Peace. I'm On Fire! Unfreakinbelievable-2.jpg FeedTheFlame WatchMySmoke 00:36, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

No. Not at all. This whole thing has turned into a popularity contest. Its suddenly become about how many school friends you convince to join the site to vote for you, rather than who's done the best work for Halopedia. I mean, if you take a look at the top 50 mainspace contributors, I don't think Blemo's even listed. -- Manticore Fleet Admiral.jpg Talk | CSV 14:13, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
Manticore is correct, to a point. Cheers, RelentlessRecusant 'o the Halopedia Team Fleet Admiral.jpg TALKSPEAK 21:29, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
Having a mainspace isn't JUST about being HOTM. It's that, AND the fact that you helped many users with their troubles and letting them get on with their lives. Maybe you introduced them to a wikia, and they have fun. They could have become a part of the Top 50 contributors. I'm not saying that I disagree, but it isn't about how many school friends that vote for you. Heck, only four out of fourteen people I know as friends here are school friends. However, I do agree with Manticore about the popularity contest part. --UoH First Lieutenant BlemoTalkContributions File:LTBar.png

Is voting for yourself illegal? The one that I submitted for myself wasn't counted. Yes, I do sound like a dumb@$$. --File:GRAW Wallpaper.jpg Blemo progress-wheel.gif TalkContributionsSemper Fi

Never mind.--File:GRAW Wallpaper.jpg Blemo progress-wheel.gif TalkContributions Semper Fi

Yes, it WAS counted... güéߣ¥-πéҐøñ¥-ħîИg¥ 06:20, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
