Just a note: It s possible to tell the difference between the Heretic boss and his holo-clones: While flying, the heretic boss will move his body in a realistic manner condsidering the forces pulling on him. His holo-clones, on the other hand, maintain the same posture no matter what they do or what happens to them (other than being shot). Noticing the difference takes a bit of looking, and on anything harder than medium difficulty you'll be to preoccupied with plasma fire to care.

Yeah,you can kill him with the sword right at the begining, it's a lot easier. I didn't even know that the vents existed.
