Talk:Midsummer Night-type light frigate

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

Merge

This Midsummer Night has not been identified as a class that is different from the Stalwart (or the Charon) frigate. It should be merged to avoid confusion, or at the very least a "did you mean?" should be put up. pestilence Phil, pestilence! 03:23, 7 July 2011 (EDT)

Memory Alpha and Battlestar Wiki would use "Midsummer Night-type light frigate" and include a notice that its actual name is unknown.-- Forerunner 12:15, 7 July 2011 (EDT)
I've always been a fan of the "type" designations for unidentified classes, I approve. User:CommanderTony/Sig
That works for me. pestilence Phil, pestilence! 19:37, 7 July 2011 (EDT)
Was this really necessary? The article could've waited until proper canon information was introduced. Tetrapex 06:01, 9 July 2011 (EDT)
This is a legitimate process for identification - if you don't know its class name you refer to it by whatever ship you can think of of that type. The guidebook is largely gamer-centric and is unlikely to refer to the Midsummer Night anywhere other than those frigate pages, of which none made reference to it. While we could have waited just in case, I feel that the article's former title of "UNSC light frigate" could easily end up as a dumping ground for duplicate articles regarding the two other light frigates.-- Forerunner 09:21, 9 July 2011 (EDT)
