Lagolim is an ocean-moon that is the site of a human colony, under the control of the Unified Earth Government. At some point, the moon hosted a UEG research platform searching for a Forerunner artifact hidden under the moon's vast seas. The moon was attacked by the Banished led by Zeretus at an unknown date, leading to the deaths of all 1,244 personnel stationed on the facility.[1]
