Forum:Removal of inactive admin

I propose that Guesty-Persony-Thingy's sysop and 'crat flags are removed given his long standing inactivity. Guesty-Persony-Thingy has not edited since July 2008, with substantial inactivity since February 2008.

The precedent for removing inactive admins was established last year. As in those cases, in the event Guesty-Persony-Thingy becomes active again, he may file a new request for adminship. — Manticore [ AdminIRCHOTMBot ] 15:12, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

Update: Guesty-Persony-Thingy has been de-sysopped. — Manticore [ AdminIRCHOTMBot ] 14:24, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Objections (1/0)

  1.   Oppose I really don't see the point in getting rid of his privagles, what harm could it do? And if he dose come back, well, then he can still do some good under the radar. - Notanoob 19:43, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
It's not about what potential harm he could do at all. The community dynamic here has changed a lot since GPT was around, as has the workload of the admins. Nobody is saying GPT can't come back and contribute; just that if he chooses to, and does wish to be an admin again, he should face a reconfirmation first. — Manticore [ AdminIRCHOTMBot ] 23:19, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

Since we're voting for GPT, we don't we include ED in this as well? I can't see him coming back any time soon, he said it himself that he will be gone for some time. Ascy'Vamal Ultra Elite contribs 17:21, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

I don't think so. ED was editing as little as three months ago, while GPT hasn't been seen in eight months. Furthermore, ED has continued editing after his "resignation", while GPT has not. — Manticore [ AdminIRCHOTMBot ] 23:15, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

I'm curious what GPT would think if he came back right now and came to this page... Kougermasters 01:08, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Man, that would be really bad timing... Commander DA, Administrator 01:31, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
I've checked his cross-wiki contribs, and his most recent edit is here. Based on that, I doubt he's going to notice. — Manticore [ AdminIRCHOTMBot ] 03:16, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
Which specifically says that he's leaving Wikia for good! Good find, Manticore. —Kougermasters 08:36, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

I know that it's probably none of my business, but I'm also curious to know what this significant event that some users are hinting at that involved GPT. I do know it wasn't anything good, and I know it caused, or at least hastened GPT's departure. Kougermasters 01:43, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

There's no need to dredge up the past here. This is simply about GPT's lack of activity. — Manticore [ AdminIRCHOTMBot ] 03:16, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
Ok, I was just wondering... I would appreciate it if anyone can tell me via Talk Page or private message. —Kougermasters 08:36, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

When GPT left, he had already told you that he was resigning, wasn't he? Didn't he tell you if he would ever come back? I wasn't here at the time he resigned. Ascy'Vamal Ultra Elite contribs 07:20, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

It doesn't really matter; based on the evidence above, he left Halopedia forever. —Kougermasters 08:36, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
Just a question. Who WAS GPT? I have seen his userpage before and all I nderstand is that he supported the far-right and had an odd personallity. I think I joined only a couple weeks before he went inactive. Happyhobo-117 The Guy
