Circa 860 BCE, the Planet of Blue and Red becomes a location of strategic importance in the San'Shyuum-Sangheili War. The San'Shyuum arrive at the planet and descend to its surface in an attempt to claim the world's Forerunner artifacts from the Sangheili. During the Skirmish of the Planet of Blue and Red, High Lord Mken 'Scre'ah'ben witnesses Field Commander Ussa 'Xellus' talent as a military strategist.[1]
