- — Description of the Air Assault helmet.
The MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor/AA variant, or Air Assault helmet, is designed for use with the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor. It was originally developed as an improvement to the ODST helmet, which was also originally designed for MJOLNIR.[1] The Air Assault helmet was adopted in 2535 as the standard helmet of UNSC Army airborne units.[2] One such helmet was used by Catherine-B320 of Noble Team.
It is available as an armor permutation Halo: Reach at the cost of 15,000 credits.
Helmet characteristics
Price: 15,000 cR
The AA helmet somewhat resembles the CQB helmet except for a larger visor and the absence of the chin guard. It also resembles the helmet worn by ODSTs in Halo 2.[3]
Two upgrades are available for the helmet. The first upgrade, UA/CNM, adds an up-armor plate with a Command Network Module on the right side. The second upgrade, FC-I, adds an up-armor plate with a Command Network Module-Improved on the right side.
