Moncton StationEdit

These ODPs are part of the "Moncton-class" line of stations. Wouldn't it follow that there is a "Moncton Station" that gave the line its name? This is the case with UNSC warships, so wouldn't it also be the case here and we could add a "Moncton Station" to the list of known stations? There is indeed a city in Canada called Moncton, just like how the other stations are named after a city they orbit above (roughly).

It would just make sense to me. We've made the assumption multiple times on Halopedia of the existence of a lead ship that gives a line its name, I don't see why ODPs would be any different. Just a thought. TheArb1ter117 (talk) 16:03, April 13, 2020 (EDT)

Well... unlike ships, stations have not been given a system for what their lead station is named after. To be frank I am still a lil iffy saying all lead-ships are named after their class in the Halo universe tbh.-CIA391 (talk) 20:57, April 13, 2020 (EDT)

Someone requested my ass? :) Yes, that implication is solid. The first of the Cairo type orbital facilities constructed would have occurred over the Atlantic Canada region and named Moncton for a prominent city in the province of New Brunswick (which happens to be my city of birth and the city in which I am currently typing this discussion edit). :)
I was touched when 343 Industries honored me with that. (and also a few other references like the only other city I've lived in, Halifax, being found on the Spirit of Fire page.
I have my own idea for the other two neighboring stations in the Monctons battle cluster, but that would not be canon. I also made the presumption that the Monctons hull code would be OWP-001 (when working on Warfleet with 343i), the first of the 300 over Earth. We may also presume there's at least some of this class of station of the 20 over Reach (at least from some artwork for Halo: Reach). Reach has at least another class of station as revealed in the Fleet Battles tabletop game. If you have any other questions about this station or anything I can elaborate on regarding Warfleet, I'm always up for a discussion. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 10:21, April 14, 2020 (EDT)
