| Greetings! I'm Daniel, better known as Dab1001. I've been around on the ''Halo'' wiki scene since I joined Halo Nation in 2013, though I was never really active until a year later, in 2014. After editing the wiki frequently for a couple of years, I was successfully nominated for administratorship on the 24<sup>th</sup> of July 2016, by [[User:T3CHNOCIDE|T3CHNOCIDE]]. Around that time, I was the most active I'd ever been - at one point, I even managed to contribute to the wiki every single day for over a year. However, it was in 2017 that I first began to notice and take umbrage with Wikia's changes to our wiki, which were often - in our opinion - detrimental to the wiki, and seldom took our wishes and feedback into account. These changes slowly but steadily degraded my motivation to edit Halo Nation, a wiki that was irreversibly tied to the Wikia platform, until eventually, the featured video dispute a year ago finally and completely killed that drive.

| That's why I'm delighted to be merging with Halopedia, where there are no such problems at all, and I'll be able to edit and contribute to the wiki without my edits being tied to a company whose choices I despise, and without fear that wide, sweeping changes might be made to the wiki without warning or user input. I look forward to working with you all in the future!
