When Halsey was finally awakened from [[cryostasis]] she found herself facing none other than [[John-117]], who had infiltrated ''Resplendent Fervor'' to rescue her.<ref name="HLTP"/> He asked if she'd slept well, at which she joked she evidently ''had'', no thanks to the Covenant's driving. She teased that perhaps John's luck had rubbed off on her, and when he swore he'd always be there for her she stopped him short, saying that he shouldn't make promises he can't keep.
