The system was discovered by the [[Covenant Empire|Covenant]] when a Forerunner [[Arcadia Forerunner ruins|artifact]] on [[Arcadia]] led them to Shield 0459. The {{UNSCShip|Spirit of Fire}} followed the Covenant to the system after [[Ellen Anders|Professor Ellen Anders]] had been captured by [[Arbiter]] [[Ripa 'Moramee]].
