Sierra 117 vacation: Difference between revisions

On the ''[[Halo 3]]'' [[Campaign]] level [[Sierra 117 (Level)|Sierra 117]], it is possible to take a "[[vacation]]", much like the numerous vacations one can take in ''[[Halo 2]]'' and ''[[Halo: Combat Evolved]]''.

''You will need to do this vacation glitch in co-op.''

This glitch is usually called the "Stairway to Heaven", much like the one in Halo 2 in [[Burial Mounds|Burial Mounds]]. It is found by going through the grassy area, walking up the hill, turning around and jumping on the invisible barrier. Though there is a limit to how high you can go, the view is still quite nice.

There is a second vacation in this level. Go to the [[Theater]] lobby, load up a saved [[film]] of the level, and perform the [[Pan Cam]] glitch.

Also take note that if you move the camera back into the level boundaries, you will have to repeat this glitch to re-exit them, so stay out of the boundaries -- keeping the camera above the first waterfall will work.

You can then go onto one of the buildings, or continue up the cliff to find a gigantic grassland containing a large pit and several invisible hills. If you choose to go on the building, you can walk along the edge of the cliff, where you may be able to spot a damaged [[Pelican]] on the river.

First, get a [[Brute Shot]] from one of the blue-armored [[Brutes]] that help the [[Brute Chieftain]]. Next, go to the wall the [[Iron skull]] is near, and have the second player stand next to it. Then, have the first player jump onto his head and [[Grenade jump|fire two Brute Shot blasts or throw grenades into the second player's head while jumping]]. The first player should be propelled onto the dam, at which point they may continue as described in the instructions for the previous vacation.
