Parisa: Difference between revisions

During the [[Battle of Mombasa]] in [[2552#October|October 2552]], she was in command of First Platoon of Kilo Company, part of [[E2-BAG/1/7]]. She was coordinating the city's defense effort in a command post in a hotel next to [[Beria Plaza]] when John-117 arrived to the command post with a squad of Marines, to assess the situation.

At the time, Parisa was holding the picture of herself and John as children. Just as John was intending to remind Parisa to not bring personal items to a combat zone, he recognized the picture. Parisa, obviously not recognizing John because of his [[MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor/Mark VI|armor]], explained the story behind the picture to him. Despite the sudden flood of memories, John couldn't bring himself to reveal who he was, knowing that doing so would be detrimental to his own morale and the morale of their soldiers, as well as being a massive security breach for [[Office of Naval Intelligence|ONI]]. Instead he mantained his stoic facade and the two of them began planning a counterattack to the Covenant. <ref name="evo"/>

Her fate after the [[Battle of Mombasa]] is unknown. If her squad was part of the regiment that chose to fight at the [[ONI Alpha Site]], she most certainly would have been killed. However, if they were sent instead to defend the nearby city of [[Voi]] like many of the other regiments were ordered to, then she may have survived, and possibly gone on to fight until the end of the war. As ''Palace Hotel'' is of debatable canon, since it contradicts the events shown in ''Halo 2'', Parisa may have canonically died just before meeting Master Chief, as A Company's Lieutenant is confirmed to have been killed before John arrived.<ref>'''Halo 2''', campaign level [[Metropolis]]: '''Corporal Perez:''' "Sir!
