This '''unidentified Prophet''' is a [[San'Shyuum]] [[Prophet (title)|Prophet]] in the [[Covenant|Covenant Empire]]. He controlled the [[Battle of Ariel|Covenant operation]] on [[Ariel]] in [[2552#January|early 2552]], intending to recover the [[Forerunner]] [[Artificial Intelligence|AI]] known as [[the Knowing]], referred to by the Prophet as the "silent oracle". However, two [[Orbital Drop Shock Trooper|ODSTs]], [[Kojo Agu]] and [[Taylor H. Miles]], made it to the construct before the Covenant excavation teams, and convinced it to self-destruct. Immediately following the Knowing's destruction, the Prophet declared the planet "desecrated" and "soiled", ordering all Covenant troops to pull out and return to ''[[High Charity]]'' in order to inform the [[High Council]] of the relic's loss.<ref>'''Halo: Helljumper''', ''[[Halo: Helljumper Issue 5|Issue 5]]''</ref>

Curiously, the Prophet is apparently able to instantly "sense" the destruction of the Knowing. Whether this is due to a natural ability to detect Forerunner technology or implants of some kind is unknown.
