Okay, my friend said he was playing a level in Halo: Combat Evolved for PC. He encountered a hunter that was moving its "head" around and he saw two luminecent blue diamond shaped objects on the hunter's head. I'm checking that out right now actually. I do know that they are worm colonies, but this sounds liable too....
