Following the end of the [[Human-Covenant War]] in [[2553|January 2553]], he and fellow ODST [[Vasily Beloi]] were hand-picked by the [[Office of Naval Intelligence]] Commander-in-Chief [[Admiral]] [[Margaret Orlenda Parangosky|Parangosky]] to serve under [[Serin Osman|Captain Serin Osman]] in a covert operations team designated [[Kilo-Five]].
