==Production notes==
''Kerel''-pattern assault carriers were first introduced into the series as the assault carrier design featured in ''[[Halo 2]]'' and ''[[Halo 3]]'' - then-known by the name of the CAS-class assault carrier. The design remained relatively consistent until the release of the ''[[Halo 2: Anniversary]]'' in [[2014]], with the [[Blur Studio]] cutscenes depicting ''[[Solemn Penance]]'' differently. The two designs were later canonised in [[2017]]'s ''[[Halo: Warfleet – An Illustrated Guide to the Spacecraft of Halo]]'' as two individual [[design pattern]]s of Covenant carrier that serve alongside one another in the Covenant fleet.
