Ander was born on [[2461|February 16, 2461]]. At some point he was charged with Class A weapons violations, along with both destruction and theft of government property, by the [[UNSC]]. He was a former [[Special Weapons And Tactics|SWAT]] officer in Harvest's [[Civilian security forces|emergency services]], holding the rank of major,<ref name="p122"/> and was a member of the [[Colonial Administration Authority]] as of [[2502]].<ref name="ch"/> He was assassinated on March 13, 2502 by [[Avery Johnson|then-Corporal Avery Johnson]] as part of [[Operation: KALEIDOSCOPE]]. Johnson and another UNSC Marine, his [[Sniper-spotter team|spotter]], acquired a position a fair distance from the target and Johnson set up an [[M99 Stanchion|M99 "Stanchion" rifle]]. When Ander's truck passed by, Johnson took the shot and successfully killed Ander.
