Talk:Jiralhanae Army Commander

Not an actual rank

I'm under the impression that "army commander" is more of a description of Thrallslayer's role whereas his proper rank is chieftain. Even his leader card only calls him "Chieftain" in all but the "Rank" field, which lists him as "Chieftain - Brute Army Commander"; for comparison, Cutter's rank field says "Captain - UNSC Spirit of Fire CVF-88" and the Prophet of Regret's "Prophet - A leader of the Covenant High Council." The second part is only a description/elaboration, not part of the character's proper title. --Jugus (talk) 00:10, 22 December 2016 (EST)

Agreed. We only kept "army commander" on the old article name as a descriptor to distinguish him from other Chieftains while his name remained unknown. Tuckerscreator(stalk) 20:28, 22 December 2016 (EST)

I was under the impression "Army Commander" was a sub-rank of Chieftain. Like under "Cheiftain of the Brutes" but over a basic Chieftain.
As Chieftain seemed to be more of a platoon commander, a War Chieftain seems to be over that. And I believe an Army Commander is the second biggest Chieftain rank. Just my two cents.-CIA391 (talk) 12:02, 25 December 2016 (EST)
Extra point. It could also be like how Zealots have an internal ranking structure. Chieftains could have one also.-CIA391 (talk) 17:40, 25 December 2016 (EST)
