The '''Atlas Moons''', as their name suggests, were the moons of the [[UNSC]] colony [[Atlas]].

During the [[Human-Covenant war]], these moons were a major part of the [[Siege of the Atlas Moons]]. The UNSC forces fought the [[Covenant]] on the moons. After a short battle, the [[UNSC]] forces, commanded by Whitcomb, won on ground and in space, forcing the Covenant to retreat<ref>Halo: First Strike page 179: "John had never worked with the Admiral before, but his accomplishments during the battles for New Constantinople and the Siege of the Atlas Moons were well known."</ref>.
