Atriox pursued [[Cortana]] in efforts to gain control of Zeta Halo and its [[Xalanyn]] hidden within the ring, learning of them during his time on the Ark.{{Ref/Book|Id=enc22p25|Enc22|Page=25}} In [[2559#December|December 2559]], Atriox led a Banished fleet to ambush the {{UNSCShip|Infinity}} sparking the [[Battle over Installation 07]]. With Atriox presumed dead, [[Escharum]] became the self-proclaimed leader of the Banished forces and claimed to honor the will of Atriox, while ultimately taking the Banished in a less pragmatic direction in practice.
