+I believe the debriefing MC had w/ ONI lead to the Requiem campaign and he is probably retired now and chillin w/ blue team (especially now that they partially revealed his face). That could explain those 6 months. Considering that they haven't made any plans towards another season of SpOps and with the release of the xbox 1, there is a possibility that S2 may well be the beginning of Halo 5. That is due to SpOps being mediocre, so 343i probably won't continue the "experiment" but rather begin production on Halo 5. So I believe that Halo 5 will simply pick up where S1 ended. The ending of the main campaign didn't build towards Halo 5 at all but the ending of SpOps did.
