Kan Pakko was a planet in the Forerunner ecumene. It was an unexploited gas giant and its system contained many examples of Precursor technology. In the later years of the Forerunner-Flood war there was a battle that took place in orbit around the planet. The Forerunner ships were surrounded and unable to escape; when their ships' weapons were disabled by suppression fields emitted by the unexpectedly active Precursor star roads, Flood ships began boarding them. With no way to escape, the Forerunner promised they would sacrifice themselves to reduce the Flood as best they could.[1]
